I have several posts on my blog about programming. I code for a living, and am trying to get more recent content up here.
Recently, I been smitten by the micro controller bug. I have started playing with Arduino, Photon, Omega, etc. I will be getting more posts up as I document my experiences.
For awhile I was shooting professionally. Now I consider myself a high functioning amateur.
I was born in Canada. I have lived in Manitoba, B.C., Ontario, and Nova Scotia. Since 1999 I have been living in Minneapolis. I now have a family and a house here. I write code for a living for a consulting company called Object Partners. I worked as an independent contractor for several years before starting with OPI. They are a great company to work for, and with. My school age kids take a lot of my time, but I steal bits and pieces here and there for photography, playing basketball, riding bicycles, and hacking with electronics. This photo was taken at the 2015 Renaissance Festival where we decided to dress up. My shoes really make the outfit.
It's not too hard to find me. I am scattered all over the interwebs. Here are a few places you can track me down. I usually go by veggie2u, cward, or cwardphotos.
I have been actively taking / shooting / making / creating photographs for several years now. I go in phases of enjoying different types of photogrphy from macro, to landscapes, to portraits and unposed photographs of kids. I have taken photographs in places from Nova Scotia to California. From Texas, to Paris to India, and Indonesia. I took a shot at professional photography for 4 years, shooting families, high school seniors, and weddings. In the end, the marketing for clients, and the endless post processing was more than I bargined for, and I backed off. I have several places you can find my photographs on line.
